These guys put an egress window in for us and they did an excellent job. Super down to earth guys who weren’t super pushy with their services and didn’t try to up sell us a bunch of other things, or take up a bunch of our time with a huge service pitch (DrySure). Jackson and Mark installed two new egress windows in our basement last week. They arrived on time, were professional, and did incredible work. Our new windows look amazing and our basement is so much more enjoyable with the increased daylight. Jackson and Mark were incredibly clean and careful with both our home and the yard. When they left you could barely tell they had been there…the dirt was cleaned up, the grass was in perfect condition, and they even put the mulch back around the new window. I recently had Jackson Melchert Enterprises put in a number of basement windows. This is actually the 2nd house I have had them do work on. I really liked the flexibility as I changed the plan. Also, they are very professional – we ran into a small issue installing the egress window – some unanticipated stuff behind the wall and they completely resolved the issue without hesitation or delay. We needed two egress windows installed. We called three area professionals who specialize in the installation of egress windows. One came highly recommended. He referenced several obstacles . We had some basement flooding with the spring thaw. The biggest issue was that our basement windows were in horrible shape and we had no window wells, so the water came right up and through. I called Jackson, who did an egress window for us a number of years ago (which is awesome, by the way). He came out, gave us a great estimate, and said he could come to get the work done the next week. He was on time, did a fantastic job, finished in one day, and had great rates. What more could you ask for? I think what I really appreciate about him is how upfront and straight-talking he is. Working with contractors can be stressful; you never know what you’re going to get, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jackson to my family and friends. I can’t give higher praise than that.

Jackson was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was always pleasant (even when he found a wasps nest!) and respectful. He clearly is an expert in his field. He was kind enough to let my son follow him around while he did the bulk of his work.
We needed two egress windows put on the same wall in our basement, and everyone we talked to would only do really big windows. Because Jackson specializes in basements, he knew that that was not what was best for our 40 year old home with a block foundation. He still managed to meet all of the inspection guidelines, without taking out such big chunks of our wall, ensuring that we have a strong foundation for our home.

Just had Jackson install an egress this morning. I expect people to take pride in their work and do a good job. Jackson and the two gentlemen with him did outstanding work. Bottom line: he was prompt with getting a quote, showed up exactly when he said he would, and finished before anticipated. This spring made for really poor conditions to do this work with the bad weather (icluding raining all night and today during the installation.) They did a great job protecting the lawn in very difficult conditions (it’s soaking wet). I contacted 4 or 5 other options and he was by far the best price, and answered all my questions well. I would strongly recommend Jackson Melchert, and would utilize his services without hesitation in the future.

I wanted cheap, quality egress windows. That’s literally all they do. In under 8 hours they completely dug out, cut through, fully installed, and properly sealed 2 new egress windows at a significantly lower price than everyone else I called. A year later and a ton of rain coming at our house and no sign of any leak or failure whatsoever. If you don’t take them up on the covers, plan to build your own asap as a mouse destroyed our screen a few months after I rejected the cover :/.

When we were in desperate need of a sump pump due to water leaking in our home. Jackson came out immediately and gave us an inspection and estimate. Even though he was extremely busy he found the time to squeeze us in and install one for us right away knowing the circumstances.
